21st April 2026, London: RCK Partners, a specialist tax advisory firm focused on R&D Tax Credits, has announced today it will be working with R&D industry consultant and commentator, Paul Rosser, to further strengthen its R&D software consulting capability, as demand continues to grow for robust, technically grounded advice.

Paul will focus on R&D tax credit software consulting while also representing RCK Partners more broadly across the wider market. As the founder of R&D Consulting Ltd and having worked in R&D tax relief, I.T. and digital forensics over the last two decades, he is widely recognised for his deep technical knowledge and principled approach to advising on complex claims.

Paul has supported a wide range of companies while also playing a key role in uncovering instances of fraud in the R&D tax advisory space. In recognition of his impact, Paul received the Outstanding Contribution to Tax by an Individual award at the 2025 Tolley’s Taxation Awards. He is widely regarded as central in driving higher standards within the industry.

Today’s announcement reflects the firm’s continued investment in experienced practitioners who can support large, more complex businesses and enhance the depth of expertise across its tax incentives offering. It also follows a period of continued momentum for RCK Partners, as the firm expands its senior capabilities to meet growing client demand across innovation-led and technology-driven sectors.

Sophie Spells, Group CEO at RCK Partners, said:

“I’ve known Paul for a while now, and his extensive experience and reputation in the R&D space struck me as standout from the beginning. We initially began discussing the R&D tax credit scheme and the broader advisory landscape, and over time recognised strong alignment that has led to this partnership. Paul’s focus on technical precision and doing the right thing for clients aligns closely with how we work at RCK, and we’re delighted to be working with him as we continue to support innovative businesses in claiming R&D tax credits.”

Paul Rosser, Partner at RCK Partners said:

“At a time when scrutiny of R&D claims is increasing, it’s more important than ever to work with firms that put compliance first and foremost. After speaking with Sophie, it became very apparent that R&D claim compliance is RCK's number one priority. This, combined with the opportunity to support larger, more complex clients, made this a clear decision for me. I look forward to working with RCK alongside continuing to work for my current firm, R&D Consulting Ltd, as well as the ongoing investigative and reporting work I do.”
